FALL FROM GRACE

Author: Farseer Tyross

Type: Story

Legionnaire Krylorn stared up in amazement as an eagle of wraithbone bore down upon the planets surface, it's sleek form of it's shadow raced across the landscape toward the entrenched veteran Guardians. The roar of powerful siege engines signalled the sudden drop from low orbit, Kyrlorn knew this well.

The position held by Space Marine Devastators would soon fall, and with them, the Eldar could advance through the canyon in relative safety. "Huntsman is en-route" signalled Farseer Ularan as the Grav-Tank came dropping down almost right on top of the enemy unit. The stun-lance erupted into life, the hundreds of barbed hooks met their prey with impunity, the two Marines caught went into convulsions as the electrical charge was delivered through the mono-molecular ties.

"Death be quick" thought Kyrlorn as the first of the Adeptus Astartes slumped to the floor, his life was gone. The Guardian gunner pulled hard on the weapon trigger once again, this time ensnaring another four Marines. As Kyrlorn watched one of the Marines break free of his painful bonds, his soul burned deep within him...

With the remaining Imperial troops had been vanquished, the Huntsman darted off back to the Eldar webway portal until required again.

With disgust, the Eldar Guardian saw that the more senior of the Space Marines take a lone melta device, but could not plant it firmly upon the hull of the sleek Eldar vehicle.
