ESSENCE OF THE DAEMON

An extract from "Daemonic Beings, God's Manifestations, page 263, chapter 23, 'The Eldar Avatar.'"

This daemon is the manifestation of the Eldar God of War, Khaine, as he has become known to Imperium. Each one carries but a single weapon, either in the form of a large double headed axe, monstrous spear or the more conventional great sword.

The have been some correlation between the and the presence of the Avatar, increasing their will to continue to fight by a factor of about 38.23%, thus we can speculate that the Eldar race in general has a deep psychic bond with such a being. Despite the fact that the Eldar are more 'stubborn' when in close proximity, but coupled with the fact that the Avatar in itself is a monster in combat whose only equal is that of a chaotic Greater Daemon or that of a Primarch of old. Few warriors can best him in single combat, yet such a being, much like the greater daemons or Chaos are vulnerable to an onslaught of projectile fire. The sheer skill of the Avatar is hard to compare, but his savagery in combat is outmatched by that of the Bloodthirster, but also lacks the skill of the Avatar in martial combat...
