THE ELDAR WRAITHLORD

Author: Farseer Tyross

Type: Report

My study into such an artefact as that found on Tyloon III, Sector 33 Alpha. It has become apparent that the Eldar are growing desperate, in that the increasing occurrences of Wraithlords being employed by certain Eldar Craftworlds, their large armoured hulks becoming a sight that has become more then a myth, but in fact a reality.

The Eldar, as is common knowledge are a dying race, in the fight to avoid extinction, and as needs must, and that the Eldar have been able to arrest an Eldar soul from the eternal damnation through the means of using an attuned stone made from wraithbone.

Therefore, it has made the creation of 'ghost' warriors possible through the means of grafting one of these 'occupied' stones onto a form made from the a similar plastic allowing the Eldar to create warriors to fight for them in times of increasing need.

My research upon the shattered remains of one such 'Wraithlord,' which was apparently destroyed in combat by a powerful creature rivalling the strength and power of our Space Marines Dreadnoughts, and although there have been reports of Tyranid activity in the system in question, the only creature that I can see as capable of doing such damage is that of a Hive Tyrant (or a species derived of) or more likely a Carnifex. The system in which the hulk was found was deserted long ago by order of Inquisitor Y'Ularn after a vicious battle with the forces of Tzeentch, lest such a detail is unneeded.

When we found the husk, the large 'helm, for lack of a better term, was completely caved in, presumably hit with tremendous force. The Wraithlord appears to have had the stone which had contained 'spirit' within, crushed, whilst the weaponry beneath the two arms shows minor scratches. The banners, larger laser weapon and power plant remain intact, whilst the power generation system is not working, and therefore must be linked directly to the spirit, providing additional power if need be at the Eldar spirit's demand, and whilst the power cells of the bright lance have seemed to have been drained.

The colour scheme appears to mainly white, the fragments of the 'helm' are green, denoting the Biel-Tan Craftworld, the banner also depict their icons and runic symbols. Further embellishments include a symbol of what is believed to indicate 'infinity' upon the 'helm,' whilst the bright lance has no markings what-so-ever.
