The armies of the Thousand Sons are often accompanied by small Covens of Druids that are inducted into the lore of Tzeentch. These non-Space Marines serve the Changer of Ways in the vain hope of attaining his greatest gift, daemon hood. Wielding powerful magicks, the Coverns themselves can be found on most worlds, hiding from Imperial eyes and that of the Inquisition the Covens conduct their business outside the law, and are the first to welcome the followers of Tzeentch when they enter the star systems. |
Section: A Coven of Druids is an Elites choice. |
Squad: The Convern consists of 8 Druids and 1 Achimage. |
Wargear: Close combat weapons and a descended Mark of Tzeentch (see special rules). |
Powers: The Coven as a whole may have Bolt of Change or D6 minor powers (see Special Rules). |
The Focus: The Druids use the Archimage to act as a focus for their energies and when measuring range of psychic powers, use the Archimage model to measure such ranges. If the Archimage is killed during the battle, then another model takes his place and instead remove a Druid. | Minor Powers: The Coven may select to have a certain number of minor powers that are randomly generated before battle. Roll a D6 (preferrably in front of the opponent) and then roll that many times upon the Chaos minor power tables (you may roll on any of them), normal rules apply for minor powers. | Descended Mark of Tzeentch: The Coven members each possess a less potent form of the Mark of Tzeentch, and may move normally at the cost of having to take Psychic tests when casting powers, even on Tzeentch minor psychic powers. |
