Khorne Outriders ride into battle upon steeds of both metal and daemon, and the once Chaos Space Marines bikes have been bent and warped by those who resiie within the Eye. Very little is know of these strange and bizarre mutations, but what is known is they form the vanguard and forward scouts of most Khorne Warbands and that they are able to leap upon their foes with lightning speed and their combat prowess is nearly unmatched. |
Section: The Khorne Outriders are a Fast Attack choice. |
Squad: A unit of Khorne Outriders consists of between 3-10 Outriders. |
Wargear: Close combat weapons, bolt pistols, Mark of Khorne and Iron Steeds. |
Options: The unit may replace their close combat weapons with Khornate chain axes for +1 pt per model. Up to one model in three may replace their close combat weapon with a power weapon at +10 pts, power fist +15 pts or plasma pistol at +15 pts. |
Character: Up one model may be upgraded to an Aspiring Champion at a cost of +13 pts. The Aspiring Champion may select weapons and wargear from the Armoury that are available to models with the Mark of Khorne. |
Veteran Skills: The Outriders may not be given any Veteran Skills. |
SPECIAL RULES | | Iron Steeds: The Outriders ride heavily modified bikes that also contain the bound essence of a daemonic, allowing the Khorne Outrider riding the best to maintain full use of their arms. The Iron Steeds count as Chaos Space Marines bikes fitted with twin-linked bolters, and the rider gain +1 for having two hand to hand weapons. |
Outriders: Khorne Outriders are especially adept are attacking without warning other then the the low howl of their iron beasts. If the mission being played allows the rules for Infiltrators to be used, roll a D6. On a roll of a 6, the Outiders may Infiltrate that battle. If the mission uses Sentries, the Outriders may always be used in addition to any other sentries deployed. | Blood Frenzy: The iron steeds are still subject to the Blood Frenzy and still have to roll for it. However, a Champion with the talisman of burning blood will not effect the steeds and never roll more then 1D6 for blood frenzy. |
