I am in the planning stage of a new Warhammer 40,000 Army, a Imperial Guard regiment with a sinister and disturbing background and master... | Homeworld: The regiments of Danitun come from a star system that contains five large planets, surrounded by vast starfields and long periods surrounded by warp storms, a detrimental fact of their relative close proximity to the Eye of Terror. Some seventy thousand light years from the Rubicon Straits, the Eye is a feature in their skies. However, it was this promity was it's greatest flaw. The worlds themselves are little more then dusty deserts, grey sand storms sweep across the world continually, scourging the outer surfaces of the buildings that stand testimont to the sea of sand. The vast hives are like most hive worlds, their self contained cities, but the grandest, Quian Prime, held the world's overall ruler/It has to be said that the world is often overlooked by the Inquisition, offer little in the forms of resistence from the vast punishments offered by Space Marine and Imperial Navy starships, but their ground troops are fearsome if encountered. | History: During a quite period during Abaddon's 8th and 9th Black Crusades, the Lord known as Arnell lead a small incursion into the Imperium, using a drifting warp storm to mask their vessels until outside the Eye. Leading an army of some ten Chosen and accompanying Berserkers, Arnell's forces were able to establish a stranglehold on the world known as Danitun Prime. The world was cast asunder into utter turmoil when the plantary Governor was slain by a stray bolter shell, fired by Chosen Orcaltic during a vicious firefight around the Palace of the Governor. With the Governor's death, Palace fell to Arnell within the hour, shortly before Arnell's planned Berserker assault. | Immediatally, Arnell begun summary exeuction squads to cleanse the higher streets, then the lower gantries in Khorne's name, but instead drove the world's population that survived into the lower levels, forcing them to fight alongside the native youth gangs. | After several months, the ushers of a new world order begun to circulate, several Cults begun to spring up in each of the major Hives. Then one day, the Cult leaders emerged to offer their services to Arnell. That day was forever marked on the Danitun calender as "the Re-Emergence." |
