LOCATION/OWNERSHIP | ||||||||||
The traitor known as Lord Damius owns Gielorn. Although he currently resides with his forces upon his fleet vessel, the yellow blight, Damius maintains a small guard post upon the world of Gielorn. I know this because of the several reports from recon-pickets that have been dispatched to Gielorn and have never returned without contracting some sort of deadly plague. | ||||||||||
Gielorn itself is the moon of the planet Talmorth, and itself, shares Tarlmorh’s orbit with a further two celestial satellites. The moon Gielorn is the smallest moon orbiting Talmorth along with Talarussa being slightly larger and Hydd being the largest. This arrangement, I do believe, that they do form the blasted runic symbol of Nurgle at key times in the Talmorth calendar due to their almost parallel orbits. | ||||||||||
The system of Grauiy within which, Talmorth lies, is not inhabited and is very low in resources, and acts as a corridor for none-Warp travel between the Cadia system and a few other systems. | ||||||||||
FLORA/WILDLIFE/ATMOSPHERE | ||||||||||
The atmosphere itself is very thin, and almost vacuum like upon the surface. Very little grows on Gielorn, no plantlife or animal matter can survive within the extremely thin atmosphere. Although there is an abundance of bacteria that spawn deep within the caves, where the atmosphere is the thickest. | ||||||||||
CLIMATE/TERRAIN | ||||||||||
Gielorn itself is a blasted rock, grey sand drifts around upon wind which varies in strength from a mild breeze to a almost typhoon strength. The rock that the moon is made from is bears jagged edges, and is thought to be almost like sand stone in it’s qualities. It is grey in colour, and although very compacted, it is quite easy to excavate, thus allowing Damius’ forces to bury beneath the surface and create the caverns that form the Shrine to Nurgle. I have included a number of images that have been taken by Imperial forces that have landed upon Gielorn. | ||||||||||

CAVE SYSTEM | ||||||||||
The caverns themselves very in size, but nearly all enable a Space Marine to stand within them fully without hinderance. The ambient light is enhanced by a number of slow burning candles that can burn even in the thinnest of atmospheres. In the larger caverns, this candle light is aided by several large fires that are fed by a number of fuel tanks. | ||||||||||
